Sherman County has multiple advisory boards made entirely of volunteer citizens. Listed below are the boards that are available to serve on. To apply download and fill out the application attached at the bottom of the page.
Goodland Regional Medical Center Board
The Goodland Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees consists of seven members and one ex-officio member. Board members serve a three-year term and are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The board meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:00 PM (MST) in the Large Board Room at Goodland Regional Medical Center.
Fire District #1 Board
The Fire District #1 Board consists of five members. The board meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:00 PM (MST) at the Wolak Building unless the need arises to view another department. The Fire District #1 Board receives information and recommendations from the Fire Chiefs regarding information and advice pertaining to policy for the operation, training and expenses for their departments.
Sherman County Community Development Board
The Sherman County Community Development Board consists of seven members and two ex-officio members. Board members serve a three-year term. The board meets on the last Tuesday of the Month at 1:30 PM (MST). More information about this board can be found at: www.thetopsideofkansas.org/about-us.
